Gender odds on the Mimog and Muffly pair
Mimog is the awkward half of this pair. It hatches 80% male, so the female you need turns up 20 times in a hundred. Catch or hatch several before you count on one. The other parent is a straight 50/50. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all.

Why an older Loupmoon combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Loupmoon when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 2110. 210 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Loupmoon
2 breeding steps from a starter box reach Loupmoon. Croajiro and Munchill make Cawgnito, then Cawgnito and Surfent Terra make Loupmoon.
- 1
- 2
Measured from an early-game box. Anything you already own further along cuts steps off, so load your save and it routes from there.
Loupmoon passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Loupmoon egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Loupmoon worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one, and early. Loupmoon shows up from level 14, so you will meet one long before a pair is worth assembling. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 2 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 15 catch. With 210 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Loupmoon work suitability and drops
Loupmoon has Handiwork 2 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Bone when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Loupmoon is actually for once it hatches
Handiwork 2 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Handiwork pals for anything that does it properly. It works through the night, when the rest of the base is asleep.
Loupmoon active skills and partner skill
Loupmoon learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Dark Gleam Strike. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

Paired with other species, Loupmoon produces 100 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Kingpaca. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Loupmoon breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Loupmoon in Palworld?
- Yes. 210 pairs produce Loupmoon in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Mimog and Muffly, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Loupmoon in Palworld?
- Mimog and Muffly, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 15, which makes it the cheapest of the 210 pairs that produce Loupmoon. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 2110.
- Can you catch Loupmoon in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 14-38. Its spawn points fall inside 15 named regions, the densest Deep Bamboo Thicket, where they run level 15-35 at night. There is no alpha Loupmoon, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 1118 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Loupmoon breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 210 of Loupmoon's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Loupmoon be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 15 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 2 steps, opening with Croajiro and Munchill. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Loupmoon inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Loupmoon is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Mimog and Muffly has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Mimog and Muffly pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
