Gender odds on the Dazzi and Tocotoco pair

Dazzi is the awkward half of this pair. It hatches 20% male, so the male you need turns up 20 times in a hundred. Catch or hatch several before you count on one. The other parent is a straight 50/50. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all.

Paldex entry

“A Pal that can easily take flight even while grasping a human. It is, however, prone to letting go when tired, which has led to the sudden demise of more than a few souls.”

Galeclaw is a Neutral-type pal with 172 parent pairs in Palworld 1.0, and not one of them is a special one-off recipe. Wild ones sit at level 11-29. It is an early-game catch, so nothing needs breeding. Best jobs: Gathering 2.

The 120 easiest of 172 parent pairs for Galeclaw

Every pair that produces Galeclaw averages to its breed rank of 2570, and 172 pairs in the Palworld 1.0 table hit that number. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. Some are two wild catches. The rest need a breed first.

The list stops at 120. Open the planner to filter the other 52 against the pals you already own.

Why an older Galeclaw combo list won't work

Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Galeclaw when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 2570. 172 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.

Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.

The shortest breeding path to Galeclaw

Galeclaw is one of the pals a starter box already holds, catchable at level 11-29, so there is no chain to build. It is one of the 59 species every route on this site is measured from.

Galeclaw passive skill odds per egg

A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Galeclaw egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.

3 specific passives4 15.0%15
3 specific passives5 6.0%38
2 specific passives2 60.0%3
2 specific passives4 25.0%9

One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.

Is Galeclaw worth breeding, or should you catch one?

Catch one, and early. Galeclaw shows up from level 11, so you will meet one long before a pair is worth assembling. You almost certainly own one already. With 172 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.

Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Galeclaw work suitability and drops

What Galeclaw is actually for once it hatches

Gathering 2 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Gathering pals for anything that does it properly. It eats 2 food slots, so it is cheap to keep fed.

Galeclaw active skills and partner skill

Galeclaw learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Galeclaw Glider. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Galeclaw breeds into as a parent

Paired with other species, Galeclaw produces 103 different children, the rarest of them Kingpaca and Vaelet. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.

Galeclaw breeding FAQ

Can you breed Galeclaw in Palworld?
Yes. 172 pairs produce Galeclaw in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Dazzi and Tocotoco, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
What two Pals make Galeclaw in Palworld?
Dazzi and Tocotoco, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 1, which makes it the cheapest of the 172 pairs that produce Galeclaw. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 2570.
Can you catch Galeclaw in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
Yes, at level 11-29. Its spawn points fall inside 6 named regions, the densest Deep Bamboo Thicket, where they run level 11-15. There is no alpha Galeclaw, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 429 spawn points for it in total.
Are these Galeclaw breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 172 of Galeclaw's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
Can Galeclaw be bred in the early game?
Yes. Galeclaw is one of the pals a starter box already holds, catchable at level 11-29, so nothing has to be bred first. Any pair you build from it is about rolling passive skills rather than about getting hold of the species.
Can Galeclaw inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Galeclaw is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Dazzi and Tocotoco has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.

Route this pair from your own save
