Gender odds on the Dazzi and Turtacle pair
Dazzi is the awkward half of this pair. It hatches 20% male, so the male you need turns up 20 times in a hundred. Catch or hatch several before you count on one. The other parent is a straight 50/50. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all.

Paldex entry
“To protect its fragile body, it developed an incredibly tough shell. Unfortunately, it's utterly defenseless underneath. Even a little tickle could knock it out cold.”
Turtacle is a Water-type pal with 150 parent pairs in Palworld 1.0, and not one of them is a special one-off recipe. Wild ones sit at level 5-50. It is an early-game catch, so nothing needs breeding. Best jobs: Watering 2, Mining 1.

Why an older Turtacle combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Turtacle when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 2410. 150 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Turtacle
Turtacle is one of the pals a starter box already holds, catchable at level 5-50, so there is no chain to build. It is one of the 59 species every route on this site is measured from.
Turtacle passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Turtacle egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Turtacle worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one, and early. Turtacle shows up from level 5, so you will meet one long before a pair is worth assembling. You almost certainly own one already. With 150 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Turtacle in the wild
Turtacle spawns in Phantom Isle and 4 other areas, at level 36-39. Another 72 of its spawn points sit outside every named region.
| Region | Level | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|
| Phantom Isle | 36-39 | 40 |
| Twilight Dunes | 30-34 | 9 |
| Dry Sandy Beach | 34-38 | 7 |
| Mount Obsidian | 36-39 | 7 |
| Ruined Fortress City | 36-39 | 7 |
Turtacle work suitability and drops
Turtacle has Watering 2 and Mining 1 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Aquatic Pal Fluids when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Turtacle is actually for once it hatches
Watering 2 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Watering pals for anything that does it properly. Attack 75 beats only 14% of the roster, so it is filler on both counts.
Turtacle active skills and partner skill
Turtacle learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Spikey Carrier. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Turtacle breeds into as a parent
Paired with other species, Turtacle produces 100 different children, the rarest of them Kingpaca and Vaelet. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Turtacle breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Turtacle in Palworld?
- Yes. 150 pairs produce Turtacle in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Dazzi and Turtacle, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Turtacle in Palworld?
- Dazzi and Turtacle, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 5, which makes it the cheapest of the 150 pairs that produce Turtacle. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 2410.
- Can you catch Turtacle in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 5-50. Its spawn points fall inside 5 named regions, the densest Phantom Isle, where they run level 36-39. There is no alpha Turtacle, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 142 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Turtacle breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 150 of Turtacle's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Turtacle be bred in the early game?
- Yes. Turtacle is one of the pals a starter box already holds, catchable at level 5-50, so nothing has to be bred first. Any pair you build from it is about rolling passive skills rather than about getting hold of the species.
- Can Turtacle inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Turtacle is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Dazzi and Turtacle has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Dazzi and Turtacle pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
