Gender odds on the Mimog and Foxcicle pair
Mimog is the awkward half of this pair. It hatches 80% male, so the female you need turns up 20 times in a hundred. Catch or hatch several before you count on one. The other parent is a straight 50/50. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all.

Paldex entry
“This Pal's white ribbon turns black if doused with impure water. Given its usefulness in detecting poison, this Pal was once overhunted. This past has left them bitter towards humanity.”
Azurobe is a Water/Dragon-type pal with 1090 parent pairs in Palworld 1.0, and not one of them is a special one-off recipe. Wild ones sit at level 35-80. Shortest chain from a starter box: 3 steps. Best jobs: Watering 4.

Waterwing Dance. Can be ridden to travel on water. While mounted, changes the player's attack type to Water and increases Attack by 5%.

Why an older Azurobe combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Azurobe when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1830. 1090 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Azurobe
3 breeding steps from a starter box reach Azurobe. Arsox and Dumud make Kikit, then Woolipop and Kikit make Woolipop Terra, then Woolipop Terra and Dumud Gild make Azurobe.
- 1
- 2
- 3
Measured from an early-game box. Anything you already own further along cuts steps off, so load your save and it routes from there.
Azurobe passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Azurobe egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the full Palworld passive inheritance odds table, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Azurobe worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one. Azurobe spawns from level 35, and the alpha at level 40 in Bamboo Groves hands you a guaranteed one on the way past. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 3 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 15 catch. With 1090 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Azurobe in the wild
Azurobe spawns in Bamboo Groves and 1 other area, at level 35-38. Another 10 of its spawn points sit outside every named region. Its alpha stands at level 40 in Bamboo Groves.
| Region | Level | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|
| Bamboo Groves | 35-38 | 65 |
| Foot of the Volcano | 35-38 | 1 |
Azurobe work suitability and drops

What Azurobe is actually for once it hatches
Watering 4 is the job to put it on, mid-table out of a ceiling of 8. See best Watering pals for what beats it.
Azurobe active skills and partner skill
Azurobe learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Waterwing Dance. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

Paired with other species, Azurobe produces 97 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Kingpaca. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Azurobe breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Azurobe in Palworld?
- Yes. 1090 pairs produce Azurobe in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Mimog and Foxcicle, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Azurobe in Palworld?
- Mimog and Foxcicle, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 15, which makes it the cheapest of the 1090 pairs that produce Azurobe. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1830.
- Can you catch Azurobe in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 35-80. Its spawn points fall inside 2 named regions, the densest Bamboo Groves, where they run level 35-38. There is also an alpha Azurobe at level 40 in Bamboo Groves, which beats waiting on a spawn. The map on this page marks 76 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Azurobe breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 1090 of Azurobe's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Azurobe be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 15 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 3 steps, opening with Arsox and Dumud. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Azurobe inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Azurobe is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Mimog and Foxcicle has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Mimog and Foxcicle pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
