Gender odds on the Ghangler and Dumud Gild pair
Both Ghangler and Dumud Gild hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Nyafia itself comes out 40% male, which matters later if you pair two of them. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

Paldex entry
“Strongly dislikes anyone catching a glimpse of its concealed eye. If you insist on trying, it'll burst into tears and ignore you for two weeks.”

Why an older Nyafia combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Nyafia when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1250. 214 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Nyafia
4 breeding steps from a starter box reach Nyafia, beginning with Surfent and Dumud. Every egg after that becomes a parent in the next step.
- 1
- 2
- 3
- 4
Measured from an early-game box. Anything you already own further along cuts steps off, so load your save and it routes from there.
Nyafia passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Nyafia egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Nyafia worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one. Nyafia spawns from level 30, and the alpha at level 60 in Scorched Ashland hands you a guaranteed one on the way past. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 4 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 30 catch. With 214 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Nyafia in the wild
Nyafia spawns in Stone Pillar Cave and 4 other areas, at level 50-60. Another 141 of its spawn points sit outside every named region. Its alpha stands at level 60 in Scorched Ashland.
| Region | Level | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|
| Stone Pillar Cave | 50-60 | 102 |
| Scorched Ashland | 50-60 | 51 |
| Withered Seaside | 50-60 | 28 |
| Emberstone Plateau | 56-58 | 17 |
| Scorched Hill | 56-58 | 15 |
Nyafia work suitability and drops
Nyafia has Handiwork 4 and Gathering 4 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Leather when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Nyafia is actually for once it hatches
Handiwork 4 is the job to put it on, mid-table out of a ceiling of 8. See best Handiwork pals for what beats it. Gathering 4 sits right behind it, so one Nyafia covers two jobs.
Nyafia active skills and partner skill
Nyafia learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Shot-Nyan Mode. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

Paired with other species, Nyafia produces 90 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Vaelet. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Nyafia breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Nyafia in Palworld?
- Yes. 214 pairs produce Nyafia in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Ghangler and Dumud Gild, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Nyafia in Palworld?
- Ghangler and Dumud Gild, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 30, which makes it the cheapest of the 214 pairs that produce Nyafia. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1250.
- Can you catch Nyafia in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 30-60. Its spawn points fall inside 5 named regions, the densest Stone Pillar Cave, where they run level 50-60. There is also an alpha Nyafia at level 60 in Scorched Ashland, which beats waiting on a spawn. The map on this page marks 354 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Nyafia breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 214 of Nyafia's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Nyafia be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 30 catch, so not much before mid-game. From a starter box the chain runs 4 steps, opening with Surfent and Dumud. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Nyafia inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Nyafia is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Ghangler and Dumud Gild has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Ghangler and Dumud Gild pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
