Gender odds on the Mimog and Finsider pair
Mimog is the awkward half of this pair. It hatches 80% male, so the female you need turns up 20 times in a hundred. Catch or hatch several before you count on one. The other parent is a straight 50/50. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all.

“A Pal who once angered cannot be pacified. It rages on and on like an inferno. The phrase |step on a Dinossom's tail| has come to mean enraging someone.”

The 120 easiest of 212 parent pairs for Dinossom
Every pair that produces Dinossom averages to its breed rank of 2100, and 212 pairs in the Palworld 1.0 table hit that number. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. Some are two wild catches. The rest need a breed first.

Why an older Dinossom combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Dinossom when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 2100. 212 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Dinossom
2 breeding steps from a starter box reach Dinossom. Arsox and Chillet make Chillet Ignis, then Wispaw and Chillet Ignis make Dinossom.
- 1
- 2
Measured from an early-game box. Anything you already own further along cuts steps off, so load your save and it routes from there.
Dinossom passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Dinossom egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Dinossom worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one, and early. Dinossom shows up from level 10, so you will meet one long before a pair is worth assembling. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 2 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 5 catch. With 212 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Dinossom work suitability and drops
Dinossom has Planting 3 and Lumbering 3 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Lettuce Seeds when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Dinossom is actually for once it hatches
Planting 3 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Planting pals for anything that does it properly.
Dinossom active skills and partner skill
Dinossom learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Fragrant Dragon. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

Dinossom breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Dinossom in Palworld?
- Yes. 212 pairs produce Dinossom in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Mimog and Finsider, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Dinossom in Palworld?
- Mimog and Finsider, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 5, which makes it the cheapest of the 212 pairs that produce Dinossom. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 2100.
- Can you catch Dinossom in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 10-35. Its spawn points fall inside 9 named regions, the densest Sea Breeze Archipelago, where they run level 25-28. There is no alpha Dinossom, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 261 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Dinossom breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 212 of Dinossom's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Dinossom be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 5 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 2 steps, opening with Arsox and Chillet. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Dinossom inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Dinossom is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Mimog and Finsider has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Mimog and Finsider pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
