Gender odds on the Pyrin and Katress pair
Both Pyrin and Katress hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Pyrin Noct comes out 50/50 too. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

Why an older Pyrin Noct combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Pyrin Noct when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1870. Only 2 pairs hit that average, so a stale list has a real chance of naming one that never worked. Pyrin Noct is a variant form as well, and variants sit at ranks the common pals rarely average to.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Pyrin Noct
3 breeding steps from a starter box reach Pyrin Noct. Surfent and Dumud make Surfent Terra, then Wispaw and Surfent Terra make Katress, then Katress and Pyrin make Pyrin Noct.

Pyrin Noct passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Pyrin Noct egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in Palworld passive skill inheritance, step by step, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Pyrin Noct worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one. Pyrin Noct spawns from level 32, well short of the 3-step chain it takes to make one. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 3 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 29 catch. Only 2 pairs work, so the parents are specific and worth checking against what you own.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Pyrin Noct breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Pyrin Noct in Palworld?
- Yes. 2 pairs produce Pyrin Noct in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Pyrin and Katress, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Pyrin Noct in Palworld?
- Pyrin and Katress, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 29, which makes it the cheapest of the 2 pairs that produce Pyrin Noct. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1870.
- Can you catch Pyrin Noct in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 32-80. Its spawn points fall inside 7 named regions, the densest Dry Sandy Beach, where they run level 34-42 at night. There is no alpha Pyrin Noct, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 394 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Pyrin Noct breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 2 of Pyrin Noct's pairs are in the list. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Pyrin Noct be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 29 catch, so not much before mid-game. From a starter box the chain runs 3 steps, opening with Surfent and Dumud. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Pyrin Noct inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Pyrin Noct is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Pyrin and Katress has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Pyrin and Katress pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
