Gender odds on the Digtoise and Vaelet pair
Both Digtoise and Vaelet hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Shroomer itself comes out 55% male, which matters later if you pair two of them. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

Paldex entry
“Inhaling large amounts of its spores will put you into a trance. Sometimes, if Shroomer appears motionless, it's not because it's mimicking a mushroom, but rather because it's high off its own spores.”
Shroomer is a Grass-type pal with 394 parent pairs in Palworld 1.0, and not one of them is a special one-off recipe. Wild ones sit at level 30-77. Shortest chain from a starter box: 4 steps. Best jobs: Planting 3, Gathering 3.
Partner skill
Rampant Spores. Can be ridden. Sometimes drops Mushroom or Cavern Mushroom when assigned to Ranch.

Why an older Shroomer combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Shroomer when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1520. 394 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Shroomer
4 breeding steps from a starter box reach Shroomer, beginning with Arsox and Chillet. Every egg after that becomes a parent in the next step.
- 1
- 2
- 3
- 4
Measured from an early-game box. Anything you already own further along cuts steps off, so load your save and it routes from there.
Shroomer passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Shroomer egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the full Palworld passive inheritance odds table, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Shroomer worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one. Shroomer spawns from level 30, well short of the 4-step chain it takes to make one. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 4 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 20 catch. With 394 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Shroomer in the wild
Shroomer spawns in Sakurajima · Mushroom Wetlands, the one named region its markers land in, at level 47-49. Another 15 of its spawn points sit outside every named region.
| Region | Level | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|
| Sakurajima · Mushroom Wetlands | 47-49 | 44 |
Shroomer work suitability and drops
Shroomer has Planting 3 and Gathering 3 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Decayed Ancient Relic when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Shroomer is actually for once it hatches
Planting 3 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Planting pals for anything that does it properly. Attack 80 beats only 21% of the roster, so it is filler on both counts.
Shroomer active skills and partner skill
Shroomer learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Rampant Spores. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Shroomer breeds into as a parent
Paired with other species, Shroomer produces 94 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Kingpaca. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Shroomer breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Shroomer in Palworld?
- Yes. 394 pairs produce Shroomer in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Digtoise and Vaelet, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Shroomer in Palworld?
- Digtoise and Vaelet, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 20, which makes it the cheapest of the 394 pairs that produce Shroomer. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1520.
- Can you catch Shroomer in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 30-77. Its spawn points fall inside one named region, Sakurajima · Mushroom Wetlands, where they run level 47-49. There is no alpha Shroomer, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 59 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Shroomer breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 394 of Shroomer's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Shroomer be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 20 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 4 steps, opening with Arsox and Chillet. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Shroomer inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Shroomer is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Digtoise and Vaelet has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Digtoise and Vaelet pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
