Gender odds on the Prunelia and Needoll pair
Prunelia is the awkward half of this pair. It hatches 40% male, so the male you need turns up 40 times in a hundred. Catch or hatch several before you count on one. The other parent is a straight 50/50. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all.

Why an older Needoll Noct combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Needoll Noct when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1580. Only 2 pairs hit that average, so a stale list has a real chance of naming one that never worked. Needoll Noct is a variant form as well, and variants sit at ranks the common pals rarely average to.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Needoll Noct
No chain of starter pals reaches Needoll Noct inside six generations, so the first one has to be caught at level 33-36.
Needoll Noct passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Needoll Noct egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in Palworld passive skill inheritance, step by step, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Needoll Noct worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one. Needoll Noct spawns from level 33, well short of the pair it takes to make one. Nothing in a starter box reaches it inside six generations, and the cheapest pair needs a level 31 catch. Only 2 pairs work, so the parents are specific and worth checking against what you own.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Needoll Noct breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Needoll Noct in Palworld?
- Yes. 2 pairs produce Needoll Noct in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Prunelia and Needoll, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Needoll Noct in Palworld?
- Prunelia and Needoll, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 31, which makes it the cheapest of the 2 pairs that produce Needoll Noct. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1580.
- Can you catch Needoll Noct in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 33-36. Its spawn points fall inside 6 named regions, the densest Desiccated Dunes, where they run level 33-36 at night. There is no alpha Needoll Noct, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 325 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Needoll Noct breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 2 of Needoll Noct's pairs are in the list. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Needoll Noct be bred in the early game?
- No. No chain of starter pals reaches Needoll Noct inside six generations, so the first one has to be caught at level 33-36. 2 pairs breed more of them, the cheapest Prunelia and Needoll, which needs a level 31 catch of its own.
- Can Needoll Noct inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Needoll Noct is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Prunelia and Needoll has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
