“Its soft facial fluff softens any hit, but it cannot groom itself well nor scratch its itches, leaving it in a constant state of mild frustration.”

The 120 easiest of 334 parent pairs for Muffly

Every pair that produces Muffly averages to its breed rank of 2480, and 334 pairs in the Palworld 1.0 table hit that number. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. Some are two wild catches. The rest need a breed first.

The list stops at 120. Open the planner to filter the other 214 against the pals you already own.

Why an older Muffly combo list won't work

Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Muffly when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 2480. 334 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.

Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.

Muffly passive skill odds per egg

A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Muffly egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.

2 specific passives2 60.0%3

One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the full Palworld passive inheritance odds table, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.

Is Muffly worth breeding, or should you catch one?

Catch one, and early. Muffly shows up from level 15, so you will meet one long before a pair is worth assembling. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 1 step, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 1 catch. With 334 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.

Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Muffly work suitability and drops

Muffly has Cooling 2 and Transporting 1 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Ice Organ when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.

What Muffly is actually for once it hatches

Cooling 2 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Cooling pals for anything that does it properly. Attack 80 beats only 21% of the roster, so it is filler on both counts.

Muffly active skills and partner skill

Muffly learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Fluffy Flutterer. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Muffly breeds into as a parent

Paired with other species, Muffly produces 99 different children, the rarest of them Kingpaca and Vaelet. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.

Muffly breeding FAQ

Can you breed Muffly in Palworld?
Yes. 334 pairs produce Muffly in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Flopie and Arsox, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
What two Pals make Muffly in Palworld?
Flopie and Arsox, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 1, which makes it the cheapest of the 334 pairs that produce Muffly. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 2480.
Can you catch Muffly in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
Yes, at level 15-65. Its spawn points fall inside 4 named regions, the densest Ancient Ritual Site, where they run level 15-16. There is no alpha Muffly, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 259 spawn points for it in total.
Are these Muffly breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 334 of Muffly's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
Can Muffly be bred in the early game?
The cheapest pair needs a level 1 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 1 step, opening with Celaray and Wispaw. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
Can Muffly inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Muffly is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Flopie and Arsox has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.

Route this pair from your own save

Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Flopie and Arsox pair you already own. It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
