Gender odds on the Tarantriss and Caprity pair
Both Tarantriss and Caprity hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Caprity Noct comes out 50/50 too. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

Why an older Caprity Noct combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Caprity Noct when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1940. Only 2 pairs hit that average, so a stale list has a real chance of naming one that never worked. Caprity Noct is a variant form as well, and variants sit at ranks the common pals rarely average to.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Caprity Noct
3 breeding steps from a starter box reach Caprity Noct. Surfent and Dumud make Surfent Terra, then Surfent Terra and Dumud Gild make Tarantriss, then Caprity and Tarantriss make Caprity Noct.

Caprity Noct passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Caprity Noct egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in Palworld passive skill inheritance, step by step, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Caprity Noct worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one. Caprity Noct spawns from level 23, and the alpha at level 23 in Sea Breeze Archipelago hands you a guaranteed one on the way past. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 3 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 20 catch. Only 2 pairs work, so the parents are specific and worth checking against what you own.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Caprity Noct breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Caprity Noct in Palworld?
- Yes. 2 pairs produce Caprity Noct in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Tarantriss and Caprity, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Caprity Noct in Palworld?
- Tarantriss and Caprity, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 20, which makes it the cheapest of the 2 pairs that produce Caprity Noct. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1940.
- Can you catch Caprity Noct in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 23-58. Its spawn points fall inside 4 named regions, the densest Loess Plains, where they run level 50-55. There is also an alpha Caprity Noct at level 23 in Sea Breeze Archipelago, which beats waiting on a spawn.
- Are these Caprity Noct breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 2 of Caprity Noct's pairs are in the list. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Caprity Noct be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 20 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 3 steps, opening with Surfent and Dumud. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Caprity Noct inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Caprity Noct is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Tarantriss and Caprity has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
