Gender odds on the Finsider and Arsox pair
Both Finsider and Arsox hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Snugloo comes out 50/50 too. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

Why an older Snugloo combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Snugloo when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 2390. 231 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Snugloo
1 breeding step from a starter box reach Snugloo. Herbil and Munchill make Snugloo.
- 1
Measured from an early-game box, so there is not much left to shorten. Load your save to check it against what you own.
Snugloo passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Snugloo egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Snugloo worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one. Snugloo spawns from level 32, well short of the 1-step chain it takes to make one. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 1 step, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 1 catch. With 231 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Snugloo in the wild
Snugloo spawns in Frostbound Mountains, the one named region its markers land in, at level 32-34. Another 5 of its spawn points sit outside every named region.
| Region | Level | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|
| Frostbound Mountains | 32-34 | 16 |
Snugloo work suitability and drops
Snugloo has Mining 3 and Cooling 3 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Decayed Ancient Relic when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Snugloo is actually for once it hatches
Mining 3 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Mining pals for anything that does it properly. Attack 75 beats only 14% of the roster, so it is filler on both counts.
Snugloo active skills and partner skill
Snugloo learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Invisible Eye. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Snugloo breeds into as a parent
Paired with other species, Snugloo produces 97 different children, the rarest of them Kingpaca and Vaelet. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Snugloo breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Snugloo in Palworld?
- Yes. 231 pairs produce Snugloo in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Finsider and Arsox, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Snugloo in Palworld?
- Finsider and Arsox, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 1, which makes it the cheapest of the 231 pairs that produce Snugloo. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 2390.
- Can you catch Snugloo in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 32-34. Its spawn points fall inside one named region, Frostbound Mountains, where they run level 32-34. There is no alpha Snugloo, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 21 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Snugloo breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 231 of Snugloo's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Snugloo be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 1 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 1 step, opening with Herbil and Munchill. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Snugloo inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Snugloo is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Finsider and Arsox has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Finsider and Arsox pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
