Gender odds on the Dumud and Croajiro pair
Both Dumud and Croajiro hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Finsider comes out 50/50 too. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

Paldex entry
“It looks like something is peeking out from inside a costume, but even if you reach inside, there’s nothing there. In fact, you can keep reaching deeper and deeper. Perhaps the universe itself lies within.”
Finsider is a Water-type pal with 212 parent pairs in Palworld 1.0, and not one of them is a special one-off recipe. Wild ones sit at level 1-40. It is an early-game catch, so nothing needs breeding. Best jobs: Watering 2, Transporting 1.
Partner skill
Water Gun. When activated, Finsider changes the player's attack type to Water and increases Attack by 30%.

Why an older Finsider combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Finsider when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 2450. 212 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Finsider
Finsider is one of the pals a starter box already holds, catchable at level 1-40, so there is no chain to build. It is one of the 59 species every route on this site is measured from.
Finsider passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Finsider egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Finsider worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one, and early. Finsider shows up from level 1, so you will meet one long before a pair is worth assembling. You almost certainly own one already. With 212 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Finsider in the wild
Finsider carries a wild level band of 1-40 in Palworld 1.0, and no named region on the map has a spawn point attributed to it. There is no alpha to fall back on either. Treat the band as the level to be at, not as a place to camp.
Finsider work suitability and drops
Finsider has Watering 2 and Transporting 1 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Aquatic Pal Fluids when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Finsider is actually for once it hatches
Watering 2 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Watering pals for anything that does it properly. It eats 2 food slots, so it is cheap to keep fed.
Finsider active skills and partner skill
Finsider learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Water Gun. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Finsider breeds into as a parent
Paired with other species, Finsider produces 100 different children, the rarest of them Kingpaca and Vaelet. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Finsider breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Finsider in Palworld?
- Yes. 212 pairs produce Finsider in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Dumud and Croajiro, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Finsider in Palworld?
- Dumud and Croajiro, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 4, which makes it the cheapest of the 212 pairs that produce Finsider. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 2450.
- Can you catch Finsider in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 1-40. Its spawn points do not fall inside any named region on the map. There is no alpha Finsider to fall back on either, so the 212 pairs on this page are the dependable alternative. It is active in daylight.
- Are these Finsider breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 212 of Finsider's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Finsider be bred in the early game?
- Yes. Finsider is one of the pals a starter box already holds, catchable at level 1-40, so nothing has to be bred first. Any pair you build from it is about rolling passive skills rather than about getting hold of the species.
- Can Finsider inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Finsider is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Dumud and Croajiro has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Dumud and Croajiro pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
