Gender odds on the Mimog and Cawgnito pair
Mimog is the awkward half of this pair. It hatches 80% male, so the female you need turns up 20 times in a hundred. Catch or hatch several before you count on one. The other parent is a straight 50/50. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all.

Why an older Mossanda combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Mossanda when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 2060. 328 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Mossanda
2 breeding steps from a starter box reach Mossanda. Turtacle and Munchill make Univolt, then Univolt and Surfent Terra make Mossanda.

- 2
Measured from an early-game box. Anything you already own further along cuts steps off, so load your save and it routes from there.
Mossanda passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Mossanda egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the full Palworld passive inheritance odds table, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Mossanda worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one. Mossanda spawns from level 27, well short of the 2-step chain it takes to make one. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 2 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 14 catch. With 328 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Mossanda in the wild
Mossanda spawns in Gobfin's Turf and 2 other areas, at level 32-36. Another 23 of its spawn points sit outside every named region.
| Region | Level | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|
| Gobfin's Turf | 32-36 | 19 |
| Verdant Brook | 32-36 | 9 |
| Scars of War | 32-36 | 1 |
Mossanda work suitability and drops
Mossanda has Lumbering 4 and Transporting 4 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Carrot Seeds when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Mossanda is actually for once it hatches
Lumbering 4 is the job to put it on, mid-table out of a ceiling of 8. See best Lumbering pals for what beats it. Transporting 4 sits right behind it, so one Mossanda covers two jobs.
Mossanda active skills and partner skill
Mossanda learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Grenadier Panda. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Mossanda breeds into as a parent
Paired with other species, Mossanda produces 99 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Kingpaca. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Mossanda breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Mossanda in Palworld?
- Yes. 328 pairs produce Mossanda in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Mimog and Cawgnito, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Mossanda in Palworld?
- Mimog and Cawgnito, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 14, which makes it the cheapest of the 328 pairs that produce Mossanda. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 2060.
- Can you catch Mossanda in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 27-80. Its spawn points fall inside 3 named regions, the densest Gobfin's Turf, where they run level 32-36. There is no alpha Mossanda, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 52 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Mossanda breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 328 of Mossanda's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Mossanda be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 14 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 2 steps, opening with Turtacle and Munchill. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Mossanda inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Mossanda is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Mimog and Cawgnito has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Mimog and Cawgnito pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
