Why an older Vaelet combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Vaelet when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1480. 508 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Vaelet
4 breeding steps from a starter box reach Vaelet, beginning with Arsox and Chillet. Every egg after that becomes a parent in the next step.
- 1
- 2
- 3
- 4
Measured from an early-game box. Anything you already own further along cuts steps off, so load your save and it routes from there.
Vaelet passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Vaelet egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the full Palworld passive inheritance odds table, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Vaelet worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one. Vaelet spawns from level 20, and the alpha at level 27 in Ancient Ritual Site hands you a guaranteed one on the way past. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 4 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 23 catch. With 508 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Vaelet in the wild
Vaelet spawns in Dancing Sakura Shrine and 2 other areas, at level 55-57. Some of those spawns are night only. Another 11 of its spawn points sit outside every named region. Its alpha stands at level 27 in Ancient Ritual Site.
| Region | Level | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|
| Dancing Sakura Shrine · night | 55-57 | 14 |
| Wildlife Sanctuary 1 | 20-23 | 6 |
| Sakurajima · Northern Rock Field · night | 55-57 | 1 |
Vaelet work suitability and drops
Vaelet has Planting 3 and Handiwork 3 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Handgun Schematic 4 when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Vaelet is actually for once it hatches
Planting 3 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Planting pals for anything that does it properly.
Vaelet active skills and partner skill
Vaelet learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Purification of Gaia. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Vaelet breeds into as a parent
Paired with other species, Vaelet produces 95 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Kingpaca. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Vaelet breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Vaelet in Palworld?
- Yes. 508 pairs produce Vaelet in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Digtoise and Vanwyrm Cryst, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Vaelet in Palworld?
- Digtoise and Vanwyrm Cryst, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 23, which makes it the cheapest of the 508 pairs that produce Vaelet. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1480.
- Can you catch Vaelet in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 20-57. Its spawn points fall inside 3 named regions, the densest Dancing Sakura Shrine, where they run level 55-57 at night. There is also an alpha Vaelet at level 27 in Ancient Ritual Site, which beats waiting on a spawn.
- Are these Vaelet breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 508 of Vaelet's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Vaelet be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 23 catch, so not much before mid-game. From a starter box the chain runs 4 steps, opening with Arsox and Chillet. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Vaelet inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Vaelet is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Digtoise and Vanwyrm Cryst has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Digtoise and Vanwyrm Cryst pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
