Dazzi Noct is the awkward half of this pair. It hatches 20% male, so the male you need turns up 20 times in a hundred. Catch or hatch several before you count on one. The other parent is a straight 50/50. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all.

The 120 easiest of 387 parent pairs for Tarantriss

Every pair that produces Tarantriss averages to its breed rank of 1730, and 387 pairs in the Palworld 1.0 table hit that number. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. Some are two wild catches. The rest need a breed first.

The list stops at 120. Open the planner to filter the other 267 against the pals you already own.

Why an older Tarantriss combo list won't work

Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Tarantriss when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1730. 387 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.

Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.

The shortest breeding path to Tarantriss

2 breeding steps from a starter box reach Tarantriss. Surfent and Dumud make Surfent Terra, then Surfent Terra and Dumud Gild make Tarantriss.

Tarantriss passive skill odds per egg

A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Tarantriss egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.

One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the full Palworld passive inheritance odds table, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.

Is Tarantriss worth breeding, or should you catch one?

Catch one. Tarantriss spawns from level 20, and the alpha at level 35 hands you a guaranteed one on the way past. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 2 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 20 catch. With 387 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.

Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Paired with other species, Tarantriss produces 96 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Kingpaca. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.

Tarantriss breeding FAQ

Can you breed Tarantriss in Palworld?
Yes. 387 pairs produce Tarantriss in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Digtoise and Dazzi Noct, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
What two Pals make Tarantriss in Palworld?
Digtoise and Dazzi Noct, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 20, which makes it the cheapest of the 387 pairs that produce Tarantriss. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1730.
Can you catch Tarantriss in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
Yes, at level 20-58. Its spawn points fall inside 2 named regions, the densest Gobfin's Turf, where they run level 32-36. There is also an alpha Tarantriss at level 35, which beats waiting on a spawn. The map on this page marks 42 spawn points for it in total.
Are these Tarantriss breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 387 of Tarantriss's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
Can Tarantriss be bred in the early game?
The cheapest pair needs a level 20 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 2 steps, opening with Surfent and Dumud. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
Can Tarantriss inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Tarantriss is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Digtoise and Dazzi Noct has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.

Route this pair from your own save

Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Digtoise and Dazzi Noct pair you already own. It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
