Gender odds on the Helzephyr and Mossanda Lux pair

Both Helzephyr and Mossanda Lux hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Warsect itself comes out 85% male, which matters later if you pair two of them. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

“The ultra-hard armor surrounding its body is extremely strong and heat resistant. Even a napalm blast would hardly leave a scratch.”

The 120 easiest of 858 parent pairs for Warsect

Every pair that produces Warsect averages to its breed rank of 1280, and 858 pairs in the Palworld 1.0 table hit that number. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. Some are two wild catches. The rest need a breed first.

The list stops at 120. Open the planner to filter the other 738 against the pals you already own.

Why an older Warsect combo list won't work

Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Warsect when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1280. 858 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.

Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.

The shortest breeding path to Warsect

3 breeding steps from a starter box reach Warsect. Arsox and Chillet make Chillet Ignis, then Chillet Ignis and Dumud Gild make Elizabee, then Elizabee and Petallia Ignis make Warsect.

  3. 3

Measured from an early-game box. Anything you already own further along cuts steps off, so load your save and it routes from there.

Warsect passive skill odds per egg

Warsect hatches with Hard Skin already fixed, so only 3 of its four passive slots are ever in play. A parent pool of exactly those 3 lands all of them 30% of the time per egg. Four inherited passive skills is impossible for it, not merely unlikely.

You wantParent poolPer eggEggs for 90%
3 specific passives3 30.0%7
3 specific passives4 7.5%30
3 specific passives5 3.0%76
2 specific passives2 60.0%3
2 specific passives4 20.0%11

With 3 slots to play with, a junk passive on a parent is a cap rather than a delay. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in passive inheritance odds with a fixed passive skill, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.

Is Warsect worth breeding, or should you catch one?

Catch one. Warsect spawns from level 34, well short of the 3-step chain it takes to make one. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 3 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 24 catch. With 858 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.

Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Warsect work suitability and drops

Warsect has Transporting 5 and Lumbering 4 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Decayed Ancient Relic when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.

What Warsect is actually for once it hatches

Transporting 5 is the job to put it on, mid-table out of a ceiling of 8. See best Transporting pals for what beats it. Lumbering 4 sits right behind it, so one Warsect covers two jobs.

Warsect active skills and partner skill

Warsect learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Cast-Iron Shell. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Warsect breeds into as a parent

Paired with other species, Warsect produces 90 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Warsect Terra. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.

Warsect breeding FAQ

Can you breed Warsect in Palworld?
Yes. 858 pairs produce Warsect in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Helzephyr and Mossanda Lux, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
What two Pals make Warsect in Palworld?
Helzephyr and Mossanda Lux, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 24, which makes it the cheapest of the 858 pairs that produce Warsect. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1280.
Can you catch Warsect in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
Yes, at level 34-80. Its spawn points fall inside 2 named regions, the densest Gobfin's Turf, where they run level 34-38. There is no alpha Warsect, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 42 spawn points for it in total.
Are these Warsect breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 858 of Warsect's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
Can Warsect be bred in the early game?
The cheapest pair needs a level 24 catch, so not much before mid-game. From a starter box the chain runs 3 steps, opening with Arsox and Chillet. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
Can Warsect inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
No. Warsect is born with Hard Skin already fixed, which leaves 3 of its four passive slots for inherited ones. The most you can inherit onto it is 3, and with a clean pool of exactly those 3 that is 30% per egg.

Route this pair from your own save

Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Helzephyr and Mossanda Lux pair you already own. It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
