Gender odds on the Mimog and Amione pair

Mimog is the awkward half of this pair. It hatches 80% male, so the female you need turns up 20 times in a hundred. Catch or hatch several before you count on one. Amione is skewed too, at 40% male. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all.

Paldex entry

“The inside of its mouth stays pleasantly cold, making it a natural fridge when closed. Its saliva contains enzymes that prevent food from rotting. Thus, it can serve as a food locker for humans— whether it is sanitary or not is another matter entirely.”

Munchill is an Ice/Water-type pal with 205 parent pairs in Palworld 1.0, and not one of them is a special one-off recipe. Wild ones sit at level 10-60. It is an early-game catch, so nothing needs breeding. Best jobs: Cooling 3, Watering 2.

The 120 easiest of 205 parent pairs for Munchill

Every pair that produces Munchill averages to its breed rank of 2130, and 205 pairs in the Palworld 1.0 table hit that number. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. Some are two wild catches. The rest need a breed first.

The list stops at 120. Open the planner to filter the other 85 against the pals you already own.

Why an older Munchill combo list won't work

Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Munchill when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 2130. 205 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.

Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.

The shortest breeding path to Munchill

Munchill is one of the pals a starter box already holds, catchable at level 10-60, so there is no chain to build. It is one of the 59 species every route on this site is measured from.

Munchill passive skill odds per egg

A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Munchill egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.

3 specific passives5 6.0%38
2 specific passives2 60.0%3

One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.

Is Munchill worth breeding, or should you catch one?

Catch one, and early. Munchill shows up from level 10, so you will meet one long before a pair is worth assembling. You almost certainly own one already. With 205 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.

Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Munchill work suitability and drops

Munchill has Cooling 3 and Watering 2 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Aquatic Pal Fluids when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.

What Munchill is actually for once it hatches

Cooling 3 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Cooling pals for anything that does it properly. Attack 80 beats only 21% of the roster, so it is filler on both counts.

Munchill active skills and partner skill

Munchill learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Icy Maw. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Munchill breeds into as a parent

Paired with other species, Munchill produces 100 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Kingpaca. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.

Munchill breeding FAQ

Can you breed Munchill in Palworld?
Yes. 205 pairs produce Munchill in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Mimog and Amione, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
What two Pals make Munchill in Palworld?
Mimog and Amione, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 9, which makes it the cheapest of the 205 pairs that produce Munchill. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 2130.
Can you catch Munchill in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
Yes, at level 10-60. Its spawn points fall inside 2 named regions, the densest Abandoned Ruins, where they run level 32-35. There is no alpha Munchill, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 49 spawn points for it in total.
Are these Munchill breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 205 of Munchill's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
Can Munchill be bred in the early game?
Yes. Munchill is one of the pals a starter box already holds, catchable at level 10-60, so nothing has to be bred first. Any pair you build from it is about rolling passive skills rather than about getting hold of the species.
Can Munchill inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Munchill is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Mimog and Amione has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.

Route this pair from your own save

Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Mimog and Amione pair you already own. It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
