Gender odds on the Lifmunk and Chikipi pair
Both Lifmunk and Chikipi hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Lamball comes out 50/50 too. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

Paldex entry
“A walk up a hill tends to end with this Pal tumbling back down. This causes it to become dizzy and unable to move, making it easy to capture and kill. As a result, this Pal has tumbled down to the very bottom of the food chain itself.”
Lamball is a Neutral-type pal with 30 parent pairs in Palworld 1.0, and not one of them is a special one-off recipe. Wild ones sit at level 1-20. It is an early-game catch, so nothing needs breeding. Best jobs: Handiwork 1, Transporting 1.
Partner skill
Fluffy Shield. When activated, equips to the player and becomes a shield. Sometimes drops Wool when assigned to Ranch.

Why an older Lamball combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Lamball when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 3050. 30 pairs hit that average. A page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample, not the set.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Lamball
Lamball is one of the pals a starter box already holds, catchable at level 1-20, so there is no chain to build. It is one of the 59 species every route on this site is measured from.
Lamball passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Lamball egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in Palworld passive inheritance odds per egg, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Lamball worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one, and early. Lamball shows up from level 1, so you will meet one long before a pair is worth assembling. You almost certainly own one already. 30 pairs is a wide enough net that one of them probably matches your box.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Lamball in the wild

| Flying Fish Coast | 1-3 | 45 |

Lamball work suitability and drops
Lamball has Handiwork 1 and Transporting 1 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Lamball Mutton when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Lamball is actually for once it hatches
Handiwork 1 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Handiwork pals for anything that does it properly. Attack 70 beats only 4% of the roster, so it is filler on both counts.
Lamball active skills and partner skill
Lamball learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Fluffy Shield. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Lamball breeds into as a parent
Paired with other species, Lamball produces 108 different children, the rarest of them Kingpaca and Elizabee. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Lamball breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Lamball in Palworld?
- Yes. 30 pairs produce Lamball in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Lifmunk and Chikipi, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Lamball in Palworld?
- Lifmunk and Chikipi, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 1, which makes it the cheapest of the 30 pairs that produce Lamball. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 3050.
- Can you catch Lamball in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 1-20. Its spawn points fall inside 8 named regions, the densest Sea Breeze Archipelago, where they run level 1-3. There is no alpha Lamball, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 350 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Lamball breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 30 of Lamball's pairs are in the list. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Lamball be bred in the early game?
- Yes. Lamball is one of the pals a starter box already holds, catchable at level 1-20, so nothing has to be bred first. Any pair you build from it is about rolling passive skills rather than about getting hold of the species.
- Can Lamball inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Lamball is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Lifmunk and Chikipi has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Lifmunk and Chikipi pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
