Gender odds on the Chikipi and Cattiva pair
Both Chikipi and Cattiva hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Nox comes out 50/50 too. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

Why an older Nox combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Nox when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 2920. 58 pairs hit that average. A page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample, not the set.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Nox
1 breeding step from a starter box reach Nox. Lamball and Fuddler make Nox.
- 1
Measured from an early-game box, so there is not much left to shorten. Load your save to check it against what you own.
Nox passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Nox egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in Palworld passive inheritance odds per egg, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Nox worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one, and early. Nox shows up from level 1, so you will meet one long before a pair is worth assembling. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 1 step, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 1 catch. 58 pairs is a wide enough net that one of them probably matches your box.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Nox in the wild
Nox spawns in Isle of Silence and 4 other areas, at level 4-7. Every one of those spawns is at night. Another 27 of its spawn points sit outside every named region.
| Region | Level | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|
| Isle of Silence · night | 4-7 | 59 |
| Isle of Murmurs · night | 4-7 | 46 |
| Windswept Island · night | 5-8 | 12 |
| Fortress Ruins · night | 5-8 | 7 |
| Autumn Rocks · night | 5-8 | 1 |
Nox work suitability and drops
Nox has Gathering 1 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Leather when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Nox is actually for once it hatches
Gathering 1 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Gathering pals for anything that does it properly. It works through the night, when the rest of the base is asleep.
Nox active skills and partner skill
Nox learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Kuudere. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Nox breeds into as a parent
Paired with other species, Nox produces 109 different children, the rarest of them Kingpaca and Vaelet. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Nox breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Nox in Palworld?
- Yes. 58 pairs produce Nox in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Chikipi and Cattiva, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Nox in Palworld?
- Chikipi and Cattiva, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 1, which makes it the cheapest of the 58 pairs that produce Nox. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 2920.
- Can you catch Nox in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 1-25. Its spawn points fall inside 5 named regions, the densest Isle of Silence, where they run level 4-7 at night. There is no alpha Nox, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 152 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Nox breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 58 of Nox's pairs are in the list. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Nox be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 1 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 1 step, opening with Lamball and Fuddler. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Nox inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Nox is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Chikipi and Cattiva has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Chikipi and Cattiva pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
