Gender odds on the Mimog and Dinossom pair

Mimog is the awkward half of this pair. It hatches 80% male, so the female you need turns up 20 times in a hundred. Catch or hatch several before you count on one. The other parent is a straight 50/50. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all.

The 120 easiest of 357 parent pairs for Rayhound

Every pair that produces Rayhound averages to its breed rank of 1920, and 357 pairs in the Palworld 1.0 table hit that number. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. Some are two wild catches. The rest need a breed first.

The list stops at 120. Open the planner to filter the other 237 against the pals you already own.

Why an older Rayhound combo list won't work

Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Rayhound when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1920. 357 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.

Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.

The shortest breeding path to Rayhound

2 breeding steps from a starter box reach Rayhound. Wispaw and Munchill make Dazemu, then Dazemu and Dumud Gild make Rayhound.

Rayhound passive skill odds per egg

A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Rayhound egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.

2 specific passives2 60.0%3

One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the full Palworld passive inheritance odds table, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.

Is Rayhound worth breeding, or should you catch one?

Catch one. Rayhound spawns from level 20, well short of the 2-step chain it takes to make one. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 2 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 10 catch. With 357 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.

Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Rayhound breeding FAQ

Can you breed Rayhound in Palworld?
Yes. 357 pairs produce Rayhound in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Mimog and Dinossom, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
What two Pals make Rayhound in Palworld?
Mimog and Dinossom, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 10, which makes it the cheapest of the 357 pairs that produce Rayhound. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1920.
Can you catch Rayhound in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
Yes, at level 20-58. Its spawn points fall inside 7 named regions, the densest Foot of the Astral Mountains, where they run level 31-35. There is no alpha Rayhound, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 235 spawn points for it in total.
Are these Rayhound breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 357 of Rayhound's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
Can Rayhound be bred in the early game?
The cheapest pair needs a level 10 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 2 steps, opening with Wispaw and Munchill. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
Can Rayhound inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Rayhound is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Mimog and Dinossom has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.

Route this pair from your own save

Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Mimog and Dinossom pair you already own. It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
