Gender odds on the Mimog and Dazzi pair
Mimog is the awkward half of this pair. It hatches 80% male, so the female you need turns up 20 times in a hundred. Catch or hatch several before you count on one. Dazzi is skewed too, at 20% male. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all.

Paldex entry
“Surprisingly, it is unrelated to Pengullet. However, since this Pal gets pampered as it pleases, for now, it's doing its best to strut arrogantly.”
Penking is a Water/Ice-type pal with 218 parent pairs in Palworld 1.0, and not one of them is a special one-off recipe. Wild ones sit at level 15-44. Shortest chain from a starter box: 2 steps. Best jobs: Mining 3, Transporting 3.

The 120 easiest of 218 parent pairs for Penking
Every pair that produces Penking averages to its breed rank of 2070, and 218 pairs in the Palworld 1.0 table hit that number. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. Some are two wild catches. The rest need a breed first.

Why an older Penking combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Penking when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 2070. 218 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Penking
2 breeding steps from a starter box reach Penking. Surfent and Dumud make Surfent Terra, then Dumud and Surfent Terra make Penking.
- 1
- 2
Measured from an early-game box. Anything you already own further along cuts steps off, so load your save and it routes from there.
Penking passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Penking egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Penking worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one, and early. Penking shows up from level 15, so you will meet one long before a pair is worth assembling. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 2 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 5 catch. With 218 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Penking in the wild
Penking spawns in Foot of the Astral Mountains and 3 other areas, at level 39-44. Another 28 of its spawn points sit outside every named region. Its alpha stands at level 15 in Autumn Rocks.
| Region | Level | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|
| Foot of the Astral Mountains | 39-44 | 88 |
| Wildlife Sanctuary 1 | 20-23 | 6 |
| Twilight Dunes | 39-44 | 4 |
| Abandoned Ruins | 39-44 | 1 |
Penking work suitability and drops
Penking has Mining 3 and Transporting 3 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Feathered Hair Band Schematic 4 when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Penking is actually for once it hatches
Mining 3 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Mining pals for anything that does it properly.
Penking active skills and partner skill
Penking learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Brave Sailor. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Penking breeds into as a parent
Paired with other species, Penking produces 98 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Kingpaca. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Penking breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Penking in Palworld?
- Yes. 218 pairs produce Penking in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Mimog and Dazzi, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Penking in Palworld?
- Mimog and Dazzi, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 5, which makes it the cheapest of the 218 pairs that produce Penking. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 2070.
- Can you catch Penking in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 15-44. Its spawn points fall inside 4 named regions, the densest Foot of the Astral Mountains, where they run level 39-44. There is also an alpha Penking at level 15 in Autumn Rocks, which beats waiting on a spawn.
- Are these Penking breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 218 of Penking's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Penking be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 5 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 2 steps, opening with Surfent and Dumud. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Penking inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Penking is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Mimog and Dazzi has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Mimog and Dazzi pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
