Gender odds on the Tocotoco and Cattiva pair
Both Tocotoco and Cattiva hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Celaray comes out 50/50 too. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

Paldex entry
“Riding the wind, this Pal travels where it pleases. Should it find a partner along the way, the encounter will mark its journey's end.”
Celaray is a Water-type pal with 139 parent pairs in Palworld 1.0, and not one of them is a special one-off recipe. Wild ones sit at level 2-20. It is an early-game catch, so nothing needs breeding. Best jobs: Watering 1, Transporting 1.
Partner skill
Zephyr Glider. While in party, modifies the performance of the equipped glider. Prevents fall damage and extends the duration of high-speed gliding.

Why an older Celaray combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Celaray when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 2740. 139 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Celaray
Celaray is one of the pals a starter box already holds, catchable at level 2-20, so there is no chain to build. It is one of the 59 species every route on this site is measured from.
Celaray passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Celaray egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Celaray worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one, and early. Celaray shows up from level 2, so you will meet one long before a pair is worth assembling. You almost certainly own one already. With 139 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Celaray in the wild
Celaray spawns in Sea Breeze Archipelago and 11 other areas, at level 2-14. Another 190 of its spawn points sit outside every named region.

|---|---|---|
| Sea Breeze Archipelago | 2-14 | 163 |
| Marsh Island | 2-10 | 89 |
| Isle of Silence | 2-4 | 80 |
| Eastern Wild Island | 2-4 | 54 |
| Isle of Murmurs | 2-4 | 48 |

| Deep Bamboo Thicket | 2-12 | 17 |
| Windswept Island | 2-6 | 10 |
Celaray work suitability and drops
Celaray has Watering 1 and Transporting 1 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Aquatic Pal Fluids when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Celaray is actually for once it hatches
Watering 1 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Watering pals for anything that does it properly. Attack 70 beats only 4% of the roster, so it is filler on both counts.
Celaray active skills and partner skill
Celaray learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Zephyr Glider. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Celaray breeds into as a parent
Paired with other species, Celaray produces 106 different children, the rarest of them Kingpaca and Vaelet. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Celaray breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Celaray in Palworld?
- Yes. 139 pairs produce Celaray in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Tocotoco and Cattiva, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Celaray in Palworld?
- Tocotoco and Cattiva, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 1, which makes it the cheapest of the 139 pairs that produce Celaray. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 2740.
- Can you catch Celaray in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 2-20. Its spawn points fall inside 12 named regions, the densest Sea Breeze Archipelago, where they run level 2-14. There is no alpha Celaray, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 756 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Celaray breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 139 of Celaray's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Celaray be bred in the early game?
- Yes. Celaray is one of the pals a starter box already holds, catchable at level 2-20, so nothing has to be bred first. Any pair you build from it is about rolling passive skills rather than about getting hold of the species.
- Can Celaray inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Celaray is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Tocotoco and Cattiva has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Tocotoco and Cattiva pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
