Paldex entry
“The abundance of spores released by this Pal blocks out sunlight. Sometimes, if Shroomer Noct appears motionless, it's not because it's mimicking a mushroom, but rather because its own spores don't let it see anything.”
Shroomer Noct is a Grass/Dark-type pal with 501 parent pairs in Palworld 1.0, and not one of them is a special one-off recipe. Wild ones sit at level 39-77. Shortest chain from a starter box: 4 steps. Best jobs: Planting 3, Handiwork 3.

Why an older Shroomer Noct combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Shroomer Noct when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1450. 501 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer. Shroomer Noct is a variant form as well, and variants sit at ranks the common pals rarely average to.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Shroomer Noct
4 breeding steps from a starter box reach Shroomer Noct, beginning with Arsox and Chillet. Every egg after that becomes a parent in the next step.
- 1
- 2
- 3
- 4
Measured from an early-game box. Anything you already own further along cuts steps off, so load your save and it routes from there.
Shroomer Noct passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Shroomer Noct egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the full Palworld passive inheritance odds table, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Shroomer Noct worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one. Shroomer Noct spawns from level 39, well short of the 4-step chain it takes to make one. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 4 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 23 catch. With 501 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Shroomer Noct in the wild

| Sakurajima · Mushroom Wetlands | 47-49 | 44 |
| Feybreak Tower | 63-66 | 12 |

Shroomer Noct breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Shroomer Noct in Palworld?
- Yes. 501 pairs produce Shroomer Noct in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Vanwyrm Cryst and Mossanda Lux, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Shroomer Noct in Palworld?
- Vanwyrm Cryst and Mossanda Lux, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 23, which makes it the cheapest of the 501 pairs that produce Shroomer Noct. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1450.
- Can you catch Shroomer Noct in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 39-77. Its spawn points fall inside 4 named regions, the densest Frozen Coral Hill, where they run level 63-66. There is no alpha Shroomer Noct, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 188 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Shroomer Noct breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 501 of Shroomer Noct's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Shroomer Noct be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 23 catch, so not much before mid-game. From a starter box the chain runs 4 steps, opening with Arsox and Chillet. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Shroomer Noct inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Shroomer Noct is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Vanwyrm Cryst and Mossanda Lux has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Vanwyrm Cryst and Mossanda Lux pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
