Gender odds on the Tocotoco and Fuddler pair

Both Tocotoco and Fuddler hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Cattiva comes out 50/50 too. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

Paldex entry

“At a glance it appears full of confidence, but it is in fact weak and cowardly. Being toyed with by a Cattiva is in many ways the greatest of disgraces.”

Cattiva is a Neutral-type pal with 135 parent pairs in Palworld 1.0, and not one of them is a special one-off recipe. Wild ones sit at level 1-20. It is an early-game catch, so nothing needs breeding. Best jobs: Handiwork 1, Gathering 1.

The 120 easiest of 135 parent pairs for Cattiva

Every pair that produces Cattiva averages to its breed rank of 2760, and 135 pairs in the Palworld 1.0 table hit that number. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. Every pair here is two wild catches.

The list stops at 120. Open the planner to filter the other 15 against the pals you already own.

Why an older Cattiva combo list won't work

Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Cattiva when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 2760. 135 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.

Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.

The shortest breeding path to Cattiva

Cattiva is one of the pals a starter box already holds, catchable at level 1-20, so there is no chain to build. It is one of the 59 species every route on this site is measured from.

Cattiva passive skill odds per egg

Cattiva hatches with Coward already fixed, so only 3 of its four passive slots are ever in play. A parent pool of exactly those 3 lands all of them 30% of the time per egg. Four inherited passive skills is impossible for it, not merely unlikely.

You wantParent poolPer eggEggs for 90%
3 specific passives3 30.0%7
3 specific passives4 7.5%30
3 specific passives5 3.0%76
2 specific passives2 60.0%3
2 specific passives4 20.0%11

With 3 slots to play with, a junk passive on a parent is a cap rather than a delay. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in passive inheritance odds with a fixed passive skill, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.

Is Cattiva worth breeding, or should you catch one?

Catch one, and early. Cattiva shows up from level 1, so you will meet one long before a pair is worth assembling. You almost certainly own one already. With 135 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.

Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Cattiva work suitability and drops

Cattiva has Handiwork 1 and Gathering 1 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Precious Claw when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.

What Cattiva is actually for once it hatches

Handiwork 1 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Handiwork pals for anything that does it properly. Attack 70 beats only 4% of the roster, so it is filler on both counts.

Cattiva active skills and partner skill

Cattiva learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Cat Helper. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Cattiva breeds into as a parent

Paired with other species, Cattiva produces 106 different children, the rarest of them Kingpaca and Vaelet. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.

Cattiva breeding FAQ

Can you breed Cattiva in Palworld?
Yes. 135 pairs produce Cattiva in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Tocotoco and Fuddler, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
What two Pals make Cattiva in Palworld?
Tocotoco and Fuddler, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 1, which makes it the cheapest of the 135 pairs that produce Cattiva. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 2760.
Can you catch Cattiva in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
Yes, at level 1-20. Its spawn points fall inside 8 named regions, the densest Sea Breeze Archipelago, where they run level 1-3. There is no alpha Cattiva, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 366 spawn points for it in total.
Are these Cattiva breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 135 of Cattiva's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
Can Cattiva be bred in the early game?
Yes. Cattiva is one of the pals a starter box already holds, catchable at level 1-20, so nothing has to be bred first. Any pair you build from it is about rolling passive skills rather than about getting hold of the species.
Can Cattiva inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
No. Cattiva is born with Coward already fixed, which leaves 3 of its four passive slots for inherited ones. The most you can inherit onto it is 3, and with a clean pool of exactly those 3 that is 30% per egg.

Route this pair from your own save

Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Tocotoco and Fuddler pair you already own. It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
