Both Foxcicle and Mossanda Lux hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Maraith comes out 50/50 too. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

The 120 easiest of 243 parent pairs for Maraith

Every pair that produces Maraith averages to its breed rank of 1710, and 243 pairs in the Palworld 1.0 table hit that number. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. Some are two wild catches. The rest need a breed first.

The list stops at 120. Open the planner to filter the other 123 against the pals you already own.

Why an older Maraith combo list won't work

Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Maraith when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1710. 243 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.

Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.

The shortest breeding path to Maraith

4 breeding steps from a starter box reach Maraith, beginning with Arsox and Chillet. Every egg after that becomes a parent in the next step.

Maraith passive skill odds per egg

A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Maraith egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.

3 specific passives5 6.0%38
2 specific passives2 60.0%3

One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.

Is Maraith worth breeding, or should you catch one?

Catch one. Maraith spawns from level 38, well short of the 4-step chain it takes to make one. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 4 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 15 catch. With 243 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.

Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Maraith work suitability and drops

Maraith has Gathering 4 and Mining 4 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Bone when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.

What Maraith is actually for once it hatches

Gathering 4 is the job to put it on, mid-table out of a ceiling of 8. See best Gathering pals for what beats it. Mining 4 sits right behind it, so one Maraith covers two jobs.

Maraith active skills and partner skill

Maraith learns 9 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Messenger of Death. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Maraith breeds into as a parent

Paired with other species, Maraith produces 98 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Kingpaca. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.

Maraith breeding FAQ

Can you breed Maraith in Palworld?
Yes. 243 pairs produce Maraith in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Foxcicle and Mossanda Lux, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
What two Pals make Maraith in Palworld?
Foxcicle and Mossanda Lux, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 15, which makes it the cheapest of the 243 pairs that produce Maraith. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1710.
Can you catch Maraith in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
Yes, at level 38-60. Its spawn points fall inside 6 named regions, the densest Foot of the Astral Mountains, where they run level 40-47 at night. There is no alpha Maraith, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 352 spawn points for it in total.
Are these Maraith breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 243 of Maraith's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
Can Maraith be bred in the early game?
The cheapest pair needs a level 15 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 4 steps, opening with Arsox and Chillet. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
Can Maraith inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Maraith is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Foxcicle and Mossanda Lux has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.

Route this pair from your own save

Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Foxcicle and Mossanda Lux pair you already own. It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
