Gender odds on the Mimog and Vanwyrm pair
Mimog is the awkward half of this pair. It hatches 80% male, so the female you need turns up 20 times in a hundred. Catch or hatch several before you count on one. The other parent is a straight 50/50. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all.

Paldex entry
“Prone to eating indiscriminately, the mouth atop its head frequently breaks out in agonizing ulcers, causing it to use the mouth on its face instead. However, its behavior doesn't change, which leads to both mouths suffering the same ulcers.”
Carnibora is a Grass-type pal with 263 parent pairs in Palworld 1.0, and not one of them is a special one-off recipe. Wild ones sit at level 45-48. Shortest chain from a starter box: 3 steps. Best jobs: Planting 6, Handiwork 4.
Partner skill
Entangling Tongue. While in party, when the player performs a dodge roll or dodge step, Carnibora creates a whirlwind that deals damage to enemies it touches (Grass / Power: 40). (Does not stack)

Why an older Carnibora combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Carnibora when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1700. 263 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Carnibora
3 breeding steps from a starter box reach Carnibora. Arsox and Chillet make Chillet Ignis, then Wispaw and Chillet Ignis make Dinossom, then Dinossom and Loupmoon Cryst make Carnibora.
- 1
- 2
- 3
Measured from an early-game box. Anything you already own further along cuts steps off, so load your save and it routes from there.
Carnibora passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Carnibora egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Carnibora worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Breed toward it, then catch one when you get there. Carnibora only spawns at level 45-48, late enough that a 3-step chain often lands first. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 3 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 20 catch. With 263 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Carnibora in the wild
Carnibora spawns in Wildlife Sanctuary 3, the one named region its markers land in, at level 45-48. Another 5 of its spawn points sit outside every named region.
| Region | Level | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|
| Wildlife Sanctuary 3 | 45-48 | 6 |
Carnibora work suitability and drops
Carnibora has Planting 6 and Handiwork 4 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Decayed Ancient Relic when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Carnibora is actually for once it hatches
Planting 6 is the job to put it on, mid-table out of a ceiling of 8. See best Planting pals for what beats it.
Carnibora active skills and partner skill
Carnibora learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Entangling Tongue. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

Carnibora breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Carnibora in Palworld?
- Yes. 263 pairs produce Carnibora in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Mimog and Vanwyrm, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Carnibora in Palworld?
- Mimog and Vanwyrm, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 20, which makes it the cheapest of the 263 pairs that produce Carnibora. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1700.
- Can you catch Carnibora in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 45-48. Its spawn points fall inside one named region, Wildlife Sanctuary 3, where they run level 45-48. There is no alpha Carnibora, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 11 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Carnibora breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 263 of Carnibora's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Carnibora be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 20 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 3 steps, opening with Arsox and Chillet. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Carnibora inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Carnibora is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Mimog and Vanwyrm has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Mimog and Vanwyrm pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
