Gender odds on the Dinossom and Mossanda Lux pair
Both Dinossom and Mossanda Lux hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Hoodle comes out 50/50 too. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

Why an older Hoodle combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Hoodle when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1770. 257 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Hoodle
4 breeding steps from a starter box reach Hoodle, beginning with Arsox and Chillet. Every egg after that becomes a parent in the next step.
- 1
- 2

Measured from an early-game box. Anything you already own further along cuts steps off, so load your save and it routes from there.
Hoodle passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Hoodle egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Hoodle worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Breed toward it, then catch one when you get there. Hoodle only spawns at level 65-69, late enough that a 4-step chain often lands first. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 4 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 15 catch. With 257 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Hoodle in the wild
Hoodle carries a wild level band of 65-69 in Palworld 1.0, and no named region on the map has a spawn point attributed to it. There is no alpha to fall back on either. Treat the band as the level to be at, not as a place to camp.
Hoodle work suitability and drops
Hoodle has Handiwork 1 and Transporting 1 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Horn when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Hoodle is actually for once it hatches
Handiwork 1 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Handiwork pals for anything that does it properly. It works through the night, when the rest of the base is asleep.
Hoodle active skills and partner skill
Hoodle learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Void-Dweller. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Hoodle breeds into as a parent
Paired with other species, Hoodle produces 94 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Kingpaca. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Hoodle breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Hoodle in Palworld?
- Yes. 257 pairs produce Hoodle in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Dinossom and Mossanda Lux, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Hoodle in Palworld?
- Dinossom and Mossanda Lux, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 15, which makes it the cheapest of the 257 pairs that produce Hoodle. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1770.
- Can you catch Hoodle in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 65-69. Its spawn points do not fall inside any named region on the map. There is no alpha Hoodle to fall back on either, so the 257 pairs on this page are the dependable alternative. Hoodle is nocturnal, so hunt for it after dark.
- Are these Hoodle breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 257 of Hoodle's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Hoodle be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 15 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 4 steps, opening with Arsox and Chillet. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Hoodle inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Hoodle is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Dinossom and Mossanda Lux has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Dinossom and Mossanda Lux pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
