Both Helzephyr and Loupmoon Cryst hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Quivern comes out 50/50 too. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

The 120 easiest of 299 parent pairs for Quivern

Every pair that produces Quivern averages to its breed rank of 1210, and 299 pairs in the Palworld 1.0 table hit that number. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. Some are two wild catches. The rest need a breed first.

The list stops at 120. Open the planner to filter the other 179 against the pals you already own.

Why an older Quivern combo list won't work

Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Quivern when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1210. 299 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.

Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.

The shortest breeding path to Quivern

5 breeding steps from a starter box reach Quivern, beginning with Eikthyrdeer and Hangyu. Every egg after that becomes a parent in the next step.

Quivern passive skill odds per egg

A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Quivern egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.

One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.

Is Quivern worth breeding, or should you catch one?

Catch one. Quivern spawns from level 40, well short of the 5-step chain it takes to make one. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 5 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 30 catch. With 299 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.

Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Quivern work suitability and drops

Quivern has Transporting 5 and Mining 4 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Decayed Ancient Relic when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.

What Quivern is actually for once it hatches

Transporting 5 is the job to put it on, mid-table out of a ceiling of 8. See best Transporting pals for what beats it. Mining 4 sits right behind it, so one Quivern covers two jobs.

Quivern active skills and partner skill

Quivern learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Sky Dragon Affection. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Quivern breeds into as a parent

Paired with other species, Quivern produces 90 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Vaelet. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.

Quivern breeding FAQ

Can you breed Quivern in Palworld?
Yes. 299 pairs produce Quivern in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Helzephyr and Loupmoon Cryst, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
What two Pals make Quivern in Palworld?
Helzephyr and Loupmoon Cryst, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 30, which makes it the cheapest of the 299 pairs that produce Quivern. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1210.
Can you catch Quivern in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
Yes, at level 40-80. Its spawn points fall inside 5 named regions, the densest Astral Mountains, where they run level 45-59. There is no alpha Quivern, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 231 spawn points for it in total.
Are these Quivern breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 299 of Quivern's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
Can Quivern be bred in the early game?
The cheapest pair needs a level 30 catch, so not much before mid-game. From a starter box the chain runs 5 steps, opening with Eikthyrdeer and Hangyu. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
Can Quivern inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Quivern is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Helzephyr and Loupmoon Cryst has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.

Route this pair from your own save

Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Helzephyr and Loupmoon Cryst pair you already own. It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
