Why an older Ghangler combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Ghangler when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 880. 143 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Ghangler
No chain of starter pals reaches Ghangler inside six generations, so the first one has to be caught at level 30-80.
Ghangler passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Ghangler egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Ghangler worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one. Ghangler spawns from level 30, well short of the pair it takes to make one. Nothing in a starter box reaches it inside six generations, and the cheapest pair needs a level 30 catch. With 143 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Ghangler in the wild
Ghangler spawns in Scorched Ashland and 3 other areas, at level 50-54. Another 41 of its spawn points sit outside every named region.
| Region | Level | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|
| Scorched Ashland | 50-54 | 25 |
| Phantom Isle | 50-54 | 20 |
| Deserted Ash Plateau | 56-58 | 20 |
| Ruined Fortress City | 50-54 | 7 |
Ghangler work suitability and drops
Ghangler has Watering 5 and Transporting 2 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Bone when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Ghangler is actually for once it hatches
Watering 5 is the job to put it on, mid-table out of a ceiling of 8. See best Watering pals for what beats it. It works through the night, when the rest of the base is asleep.
Ghangler active skills and partner skill
Ghangler learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Master of Darkness. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

Paired with other species, Ghangler produces 84 different children, the rarest of them Anubis and Menasting. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Ghangler breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Ghangler in Palworld?
- Yes. 143 pairs produce Ghangler in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Helzephyr and Warsect Terra, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Ghangler in Palworld?
- Helzephyr and Warsect Terra, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 30, which makes it the cheapest of the 143 pairs that produce Ghangler. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 880.
- Can you catch Ghangler in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 30-80. Its spawn points fall inside 4 named regions, the densest Scorched Ashland, where they run level 50-54. There is no alpha Ghangler, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 113 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Ghangler breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 143 of Ghangler's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Ghangler be bred in the early game?
- No. No chain of starter pals reaches Ghangler inside six generations, so the first one has to be caught at level 30-80. 143 pairs breed more of them, the cheapest Helzephyr and Warsect Terra, which needs a level 30 catch of its own.
- Can Ghangler inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Ghangler is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Helzephyr and Warsect Terra has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Helzephyr and Warsect Terra pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
