Gender odds on the Dazzi and Arsox pair
Dazzi is the awkward half of this pair. It hatches 20% male, so the male you need turns up 20 times in a hundred. Catch or hatch several before you count on one. The other parent is a straight 50/50. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all.

Why an older Puffolt combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Puffolt when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 2360. 159 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Puffolt
1 breeding step from a starter box reach Puffolt. Arsox and Dazzi make Puffolt.
- 1
Measured from an early-game box, so there is not much left to shorten. Load your save to check it against what you own.
Puffolt passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Puffolt egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Puffolt worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one. Puffolt spawns from level 18, well short of the 1-step chain it takes to make one. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 1 step, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 1 catch. With 159 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Puffolt in the wild
Puffolt spawns in Bamboo Groves and 1 other area, at level 18-21. Another 10 of its spawn points sit outside every named region.
| Region | Level | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|
| Bamboo Groves | 18-21 | 52 |
| Foot of the Volcano | 18-21 | 1 |
Puffolt work suitability and drops
Puffolt has Generate Electricity 2 and Transporting 1 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Electric Organ when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Puffolt is actually for once it hatches
Generate Electricity 2 is the best it does, which is base filler out of a ceiling of 8. Check best Generate Electricity pals for anything that does it properly. Attack 80 beats only 21% of the roster, so it is filler on both counts.
Puffolt active skills and partner skill
Puffolt learns 9 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Crackle Booster. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

Paired with other species, Puffolt produces 101 different children, the rarest of them Kingpaca and Vaelet. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Puffolt breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Puffolt in Palworld?
- Yes. 159 pairs produce Puffolt in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Dazzi and Arsox, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Puffolt in Palworld?
- Dazzi and Arsox, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 1, which makes it the cheapest of the 159 pairs that produce Puffolt. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 2360.
- Can you catch Puffolt in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 18-69. Its spawn points fall inside 2 named regions, the densest Bamboo Groves, where they run level 18-21. There is no alpha Puffolt, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 63 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Puffolt breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 159 of Puffolt's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Puffolt be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 1 catch, so yes, comfortably. From a starter box the chain runs 1 step, opening with Arsox and Dazzi. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Puffolt inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Puffolt is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Dazzi and Arsox has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Dazzi and Arsox pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
