The 120 easiest of 194 parent pairs for Tetroise

Every pair that produces Tetroise averages to its breed rank of 790, and 194 pairs in the Palworld 1.0 table hit that number. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. Some are two wild catches. The rest need a breed first.

The list stops at 120. Open the planner to filter the other 74 against the pals you already own.

Why an older Tetroise combo list won't work

Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Tetroise when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 790. 194 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.

Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.

The shortest breeding path to Tetroise

No chain of starter pals reaches Tetroise inside six generations, so the first one has to be caught at level 48-80.

Tetroise passive skill odds per egg

A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Tetroise egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.

2 specific passives2 60.0%3

One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.

Is Tetroise worth breeding, or should you catch one?

Breed toward it, then catch one when you get there. Tetroise only spawns at level 48-80, late enough that a pair often lands first. Nothing in a starter box reaches it inside six generations, and the cheapest pair needs a level 42 catch. With 194 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.

Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Where to find Tetroise in the wild

Tetroise carries a wild level band of 48-80 in Palworld 1.0, and no named region on the map has a spawn point attributed to it. There is no alpha to fall back on either. Treat the band as the level to be at, not as a place to camp.

Tetroise work suitability and drops

Tetroise has Mining 4 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Bone when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.

What Tetroise is actually for once it hatches

Mining 4 is the job to put it on, mid-table out of a ceiling of 8. See best Mining pals for what beats it. It eats 8 food slots a sitting, which is a real cost once a base is full.

Tetroise active skills and partner skill

Tetroise learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Masonry Archelon. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Tetroise breeds into as a parent

Paired with other species, Tetroise produces 83 different children, the rarest of them Anubis and Menasting. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.

Tetroise breeding FAQ

Can you breed Tetroise in Palworld?
Yes. 194 pairs produce Tetroise in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Wumpo and Moldron, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
What two Pals make Tetroise in Palworld?
Wumpo and Moldron, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 42, which makes it the cheapest of the 194 pairs that produce Tetroise. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 790.
Can you catch Tetroise in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
Yes, at level 48-80. Its spawn points do not fall inside any named region on the map. There is no alpha Tetroise to fall back on either, so the 194 pairs on this page are the dependable alternative. It is active in daylight.
Are these Tetroise breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 194 of Tetroise's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
Can Tetroise be bred in the early game?
No. No chain of starter pals reaches Tetroise inside six generations, so the first one has to be caught at level 48-80. 194 pairs breed more of them, the cheapest Wumpo and Moldron, which needs a level 42 catch of its own.
Can Tetroise inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Tetroise is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Wumpo and Moldron has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
