Gender odds on the Ghangler and Helzephyr pair
Both Ghangler and Helzephyr hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Majex itself comes out 40% male, which matters later if you pair two of them. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

Paldex entry
“It appears to be striking a heroic pose, but the reality is that it's simply bracing itself against the weight of its tail and hair to avoid toppling over.”
Majex is a Dark/Fire-type pal with 420 parent pairs in Palworld 1.0, and not one of them is a special one-off recipe. Wild ones sit at level 35-77. Best jobs: Handiwork 5, Kindling 4.
Partner skill
Phantasmal Arcana. While in party, when the player attacks an enemy afflicted with Burn, the enemy creates flames around itself, dealing continuous damage equal to 15% of the player's attack damage to enemies that come into contact with them. (Does not stack.)

The 120 easiest of 420 parent pairs for Majex
Every pair that produces Majex averages to its breed rank of 1010, and 420 pairs in the Palworld 1.0 table hit that number. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. Some are two wild catches. The rest need a breed first.

Why an older Majex combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Majex when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1010. 420 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Majex
No chain of starter pals reaches Majex inside six generations, so the first one has to be caught at level 35-77.
Majex passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Majex egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the full Palworld passive inheritance odds table, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Majex worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Catch one. Majex spawns from level 35, well short of the pair it takes to make one. Nothing in a starter box reaches it inside six generations, and the cheapest pair needs a level 30 catch. With 420 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Majex in the wild
Majex spawns in Wildlife Sanctuary 2, the one named region its markers land in, at level 35-38. Another 7 of its spawn points sit outside every named region.
| Region | Level | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|
| Wildlife Sanctuary 2 | 35-38 | 3 |
Majex work suitability and drops
Majex has Handiwork 5 and Kindling 4 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Dark Radiant Gem when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Majex is actually for once it hatches
Handiwork 5 is the job to put it on, mid-table out of a ceiling of 8. See best Handiwork pals for what beats it. Kindling 4 sits right behind it, so one Majex covers two jobs.
Majex active skills and partner skill
Majex learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Phantasmal Arcana. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Majex breeds into as a parent
Paired with other species, Majex produces 87 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Vaelet. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Majex breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Majex in Palworld?
- Yes. 420 pairs produce Majex in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Ghangler and Helzephyr, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Majex in Palworld?
- Ghangler and Helzephyr, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 30, which makes it the cheapest of the 420 pairs that produce Majex. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1010.
- Can you catch Majex in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 35-77. Its spawn points fall inside one named region, Wildlife Sanctuary 2, where they run level 35-38. There is no alpha Majex, so field spawns are the only source of one. The map on this page marks 10 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Majex breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 420 of Majex's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Majex be bred in the early game?
- No. No chain of starter pals reaches Majex inside six generations, so the first one has to be caught at level 35-77. 420 pairs breed more of them, the cheapest Ghangler and Helzephyr, which needs a level 30 catch of its own.
- Can Majex inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Majex is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Ghangler and Helzephyr has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Ghangler and Helzephyr pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
