The 120 easiest of 225 parent pairs for Gildane

Every pair that produces Gildane averages to its breed rank of 730, and 225 pairs in the Palworld 1.0 table hit that number. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. Some are two wild catches. The rest need a breed first.

The list stops at 120. Open the planner to filter the other 105 against the pals you already own.

Why an older Gildane combo list won't work

Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Gildane when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 730. 225 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.

Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.

The shortest breeding path to Gildane

No chain of starter pals reaches Gildane inside six generations, so the first one has to be caught at level 53-66.

Gildane passive skill odds per egg

A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Gildane egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.

2 specific passives2 60.0%3

One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the Palworld passive inheritance odds guide, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.

Is Gildane worth breeding, or should you catch one?

Fight the alpha. It is a guaranteed Gildane at level 63 in Loess Plains, and it stands in one place instead of making you wait on a level 53-66 spawn. Nothing in a starter box reaches it inside six generations, and the cheapest pair needs a level 39 catch. With 225 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.

Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.

Gildane work suitability and drops

Gildane has Gathering 5 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Leather when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.

What Gildane is actually for once it hatches

Gathering 5 is the job to put it on, mid-table out of a ceiling of 8. See best Gathering pals for what beats it. It eats 8 food slots a sitting, which is a real cost once a base is full.

Gildane active skills and partner skill

Gildane learns 10 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Sandstorm's Blessing. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Gildane breeds into as a parent

Paired with other species, Gildane produces 81 different children, the rarest of them Anubis and Menasting. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.

Gildane breeding FAQ

Can you breed Gildane in Palworld?
Yes. 225 pairs produce Gildane in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Frostplume and Wumpo Botan, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
What two Pals make Gildane in Palworld?
Frostplume and Wumpo Botan, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 39, which makes it the cheapest of the 225 pairs that produce Gildane. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 730.
Can you catch Gildane in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
Yes, at level 53-66. Its spawn points fall inside 6 named regions, the densest Loess Plains, where they run level 53-63. There is also an alpha Gildane at level 63 in Loess Plains, which beats waiting on a spawn. The map on this page marks 451 spawn points for it in total.
Are these Gildane breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 225 of Gildane's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
Can Gildane be bred in the early game?
No. No chain of starter pals reaches Gildane inside six generations, so the first one has to be caught at level 53-66. 225 pairs breed more of them, the cheapest Frostplume and Wumpo Botan, which needs a level 39 catch of its own.
Can Gildane inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Gildane is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Frostplume and Wumpo Botan has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
