Fuddler is the earliest source that pays reliably: ×1-2 per kill, wild from level 1, which puts it in the first hour of the game. 17 of the 79 are nocturnal, Eidrolon among them, so part of the list only shows up after dark. The wild bands on this list reach level 80, so the sources hold up into the endgame.
