Gender odds on the Ghangler and Felbat pair
Both Ghangler and Felbat hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Nitemary itself comes out 40% male, which matters later if you pair two of them. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

“What it carries is its own soul. When it falls for someone, it forcibly extracts their soul and merges it with its own, yearning to become one.”

The 120 easiest of 303 parent pairs for Nitemary
Every pair that produces Nitemary averages to its breed rank of 1230, and 303 pairs in the Palworld 1.0 table hit that number. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. Some are two wild catches. The rest need a breed first.

Why an older Nitemary combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Nitemary when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 1230. 303 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Nitemary
3 breeding steps from a starter box reach Nitemary. Eikthyrdeer and Hangyu make Eikthyrdeer Terra, then Dumud and Eikthyrdeer Terra make Dumud Gild, then Dumud Gild and Petallia Ignis make Nitemary.
- 1
- 2
- 3
Measured from an early-game box. Anything you already own further along cuts steps off, so load your save and it routes from there.
Nitemary passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Nitemary egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the full Palworld passive inheritance odds table, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Nitemary worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Fight the alpha. It is a guaranteed Nitemary at level 60 in Stone Pillar Cave, and it stands in one place instead of making you wait on a level 50-67 spawn. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 3 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 30 catch. With 303 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Nitemary in the wild
Nitemary spawns in The Oculus Gate, Tower in Sight and 3 other areas, at level 65-66. Another 42 of its spawn points sit outside every named region. Its alpha stands at level 60 in Stone Pillar Cave.
| Region | Level | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|
| The Oculus Gate, Tower in Sight | 65-66 | 50 |
| Frozen Coral Hill | 63-67 | 42 |
| Hidden Passage to the Oculus Gate | 65-66 | 4 |
| Feybreak Shipwreck | 63-67 | 4 |
Nitemary work suitability and drops
Nitemary has Handiwork 4 and Transporting 2 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Precious Pelt when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Nitemary is actually for once it hatches
Handiwork 4 is the job to put it on, mid-table out of a ceiling of 8. See best Handiwork pals for what beats it. It works through the night, when the rest of the base is asleep.
Nitemary active skills and partner skill
Nitemary learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Soul Collector. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Nitemary breeds into as a parent
Paired with other species, Nitemary produces 90 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Vaelet. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Nitemary breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Nitemary in Palworld?
- Yes. 303 pairs produce Nitemary in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Ghangler and Felbat, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Nitemary in Palworld?
- Ghangler and Felbat, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 30, which makes it the cheapest of the 303 pairs that produce Nitemary. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 1230.
- Can you catch Nitemary in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 50-67. Its spawn points fall inside 4 named regions, the densest The Oculus Gate, Tower in Sight, where they run level 65-66. There is also an alpha Nitemary at level 60 in Stone Pillar Cave, which beats waiting on a spawn.
- Are these Nitemary breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 303 of Nitemary's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Nitemary be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 30 catch, so not much before mid-game. From a starter box the chain runs 3 steps, opening with Eikthyrdeer and Hangyu. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Nitemary inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Nitemary is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Ghangler and Felbat has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Ghangler and Felbat pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
