Why an older Knocklem combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Knocklem when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 260. 95 pairs hit that average. A page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample, not the set.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Knocklem
No chain of starter pals reaches Knocklem inside six generations, so the first one has to be caught at level 55-80.
Knocklem passive skill odds per egg
Knocklem hatches with Heavyweight already fixed, so only 3 of its four passive slots are ever in play. A parent pool of exactly those 3 lands all of them 30% of the time per egg. Four inherited passive skills is impossible for it, not merely unlikely.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 7.5% | 30 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 3.0% | 76 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 20.0% | 11 |
With 3 slots to play with, a junk passive on a parent is a cap rather than a delay. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in passive inheritance odds with a fixed passive skill, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Knocklem worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Fight the alpha. It is a guaranteed Knocklem at level 55 in Ruined Fortress City, and it stands in one place instead of making you wait on a level 55-80 spawn. Nothing in a starter box reaches it inside six generations, and the cheapest pair needs a level 58 catch. 95 pairs is a wide enough net that one of them probably matches your box.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Knocklem in the wild
Knocklem spawns in Wildlife Sanctuary 3, the one named region its markers land in, at level 55-60. Another 5 of its spawn points sit outside every named region. Its alpha stands at level 55 in Ruined Fortress City.
| Region | Level | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|
| Wildlife Sanctuary 3 | 55-60 | 6 |
Knocklem work suitability and drops
Knocklem has Mining 7 and Transporting 7 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Decayed Ancient Relic when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Knocklem is actually for once it hatches
Mining 7 is the reason to keep one, one off the ceiling of 8. Put it on that job and leave it there. Ranked against the rest on best Mining pals. Transporting 7 sits right behind it, so one Knocklem covers two jobs. At rarity 9 of 20 you will not trip over one.
Knocklem active skills and partner skill
Knocklem learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Steel Guardian Mode. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

Knocklem breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Knocklem in Palworld?
- Yes. 95 pairs produce Knocklem in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Lyleen and Knocklem, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Knocklem in Palworld?
- Lyleen and Knocklem, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 58, which makes it the cheapest of the 95 pairs that produce Knocklem. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 260.
- Can you catch Knocklem in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 55-80. Its spawn points fall inside one named region, Wildlife Sanctuary 3, where they run level 55-60. There is also an alpha Knocklem at level 55 in Ruined Fortress City, which beats waiting on a spawn. The map on this page marks 11 spawn points for it in total.
- Are these Knocklem breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 95 of Knocklem's pairs are in the list. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Knocklem be bred in the early game?
- No. No chain of starter pals reaches Knocklem inside six generations, so the first one has to be caught at level 55-80. 95 pairs breed more of them, the cheapest Lyleen and Knocklem, which needs a level 58 catch of its own.
- Can Knocklem inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- No. Knocklem is born with Heavyweight already fixed, which leaves 3 of its four passive slots for inherited ones. The most you can inherit onto it is 3, and with a clean pool of exactly those 3 that is 30% per egg.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Lyleen and Knocklem pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
