Gender odds on a Xenogard pair

You need two Xenogard in the farm at once, one of each gender. Xenogard hatches 50% male, so a coin flip either way. Two of the same gender in a breeding farm produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

Paldex entry

“Consumes information and turns it into energy. Regularly seems to be sending information to someone. - Hello? What was the message you just sent? I devoured it before checking.”

Xenogard is a Dragon-type pal whose only entry in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table is two Xenogard. No chain of other species reaches it. Once two are in your box, pairing them rolls passive skills rather than producing a species you did not have. There is no wild spawn for it. Best jobs: Mining 4.

The only parent combination for Xenogard

Two Xenogard is the only pair the Palworld 1.0 table gives, and a pair of them averages to its own breed rank of 990. Opposite genders, cake in the breeding farm, then the egg goes in an egg incubator. You need both in the farm at the same time.

Why an older Xenogard combo list won't work

Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces a child when the parents' breed ranks average to the child's, and Xenogard sits at 990 with only itself hitting that number. Any older list naming two different species for it is quoting a table that no longer ships.

Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.

The shortest breeding path to Xenogard

No chain of starter pals reaches Xenogard inside six generations, and Palworld 1.0 gives it no wild spawn and no alpha either. In the game it arrives from a raid or altar summon, and those tables are not part of this dataset, so no figures for that route appear anywhere on this page.

Xenogard passive skill odds per egg

Xenogard hatches with Otherworldly Cells already fixed, so only 3 of its four passive slots are ever in play. A parent pool of exactly those 3 lands all of them 30% of the time per egg. Four inherited passive skills is impossible for it, not merely unlikely.

You wantParent poolPer eggEggs for 90%
3 specific passives3 30.0%7
3 specific passives4 7.5%30
3 specific passives5 3.0%76
2 specific passives2 60.0%3
2 specific passives4 20.0%11

With 3 slots to play with, a junk passive on a parent is a cap rather than a delay. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in passive inheritance odds with a fixed passive skill, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.

Is Xenogard worth breeding, or should you catch one?

Neither. Xenogard has no wild spawn and no alpha row in Palworld 1.0. The breeding table gives it no pair of two different species either. Nothing in a starter box reaches it inside six generations.

So what follows is stats, work levels, drops and skills. None of it is a route, and the tables do not contain one.

Where to find Xenogard in the wild

Xenogard has no wild spawn area in Palworld 1.0 and no alpha, so there is nowhere on the map to hunt one.

Xenogard work suitability and drops

Xenogard has Mining 4 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and High Quality Pal Oil when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.

What Xenogard is actually for once it hatches

Mining 4 is the job to put it on, mid-table out of a ceiling of 8. See best Mining pals for what beats it. Attack 120 beats 85% of the roster, so it fights as well as it works. At rarity 9 of 20 you will not trip over one.

Xenogard active skills and partner skill

Xenogard learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Unknown Intruder. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Xenogard breeds into as a parent

Paired with other species, Xenogard produces 88 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Vaelet. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.

Xenogard breeding FAQ

Can you breed Xenogard in Palworld?
Not from any other species. The only pairing in the Palworld 1.0 table that produces Xenogard is two Xenogard, opposite genders, with cake in the breeding farm. You have to obtain the first one some other way before breeding is an option at all.
Can you catch Xenogard in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
No. Palworld 1.0 gives Xenogard no wild spawn area and no alpha, and the breeding table gives it no pair of two different species. The 1.0 data holds no obtainment path for it, and this page will not invent one.
Are these Xenogard breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
Yes. The game's real 44,849-pair table gives Xenogard exactly one entry, two Xenogard, and no cross-species pair at all. Older lists naming two different species for it are quoting a table that no longer ships. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell that a list is stale.
Can Xenogard be bred in the early game?
No, and not later either. No chain of starter pals reaches Xenogard inside six generations, and Palworld 1.0 gives it no wild spawn and no alpha. The 1.0 tables hold no early route and no late one. Its only entry as a child is two Xenogard, which needs one to begin with.
Can Xenogard inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
No. Xenogard is born with Otherworldly Cells already fixed, which leaves 3 of its four passive slots for inherited ones. The most you can inherit onto it is 3, and with a clean pool of exactly those 3 that is 30% per egg.

Route this pair from your own save

Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and ranks your own Xenogard pairs by the passive skills they would actually pass on. It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
