Gender odds on the Grizzbolt and Ghangler pair
Both Grizzbolt and Ghangler hatch 50/50 male, so every one you catch is a coin flip and two of each covers it. Venusa itself comes out 40% male, which matters later if you pair two of them. Two of the same gender produces nothing at all, however right the pair is.

“Whenever it's confused, it resorts to consulting with the snakes on its head. However, since they're all ultimately the same being, it comes to understand that nothing is understood.”

Why an older Venusa combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Venusa when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 970. 712 different pairs hit that average, which is why a page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample rather than an answer.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Venusa
3 breeding steps from a starter box reach Venusa. Surfent and Dumud make Surfent Terra, then Surfent Terra and Polapup make Polapup Terra, then Polapup Terra and Petallia Ignis make Venusa.
- 1
- 2
- 3
Measured from an early-game box. Anything you already own further along cuts steps off, so load your save and it routes from there.
Venusa passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Venusa egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in the full Palworld passive inheritance odds table, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Venusa worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Breed toward it, then catch one when you get there. Venusa only spawns at level 75-77, late enough that a 3-step chain often lands first. The shortest chain from a starter box runs 3 steps, and the cheapest pair still needs a level 30 catch. With 712 pairs on the list, one half of one of them is probably in your box already.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Venusa in the wild
Venusa carries a wild level band of 75-77 in Palworld 1.0, and no named region on the map has a spawn point attributed to it. There is no alpha to fall back on either. Treat the band as the level to be at, not as a place to camp.
Venusa work suitability and drops
Venusa has Handiwork 6 and Gathering 6 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Aquatic Pal Fluids when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Venusa is actually for once it hatches
Handiwork 6 is the job to put it on, mid-table out of a ceiling of 8. See best Handiwork pals for what beats it. Gathering 6 sits right behind it, so one Venusa covers two jobs.
Venusa active skills and partner skill
Venusa learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Snake's Sagacity. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Venusa breeds into as a parent
Paired with other species, Venusa produces 88 different children, the rarest of them Menasting and Astegon. A parent that wide is worth a farm slot on its own.
Venusa breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Venusa in Palworld?
- Yes. 712 pairs produce Venusa in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Grizzbolt and Ghangler, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Venusa in Palworld?
- Grizzbolt and Ghangler, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 30, which makes it the cheapest of the 712 pairs that produce Venusa. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 970.
- Can you catch Venusa in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 75-77. Its spawn points do not fall inside any named region on the map. There is no alpha Venusa to fall back on either, so the 712 pairs on this page are the dependable alternative. Venusa is nocturnal, so hunt for it after dark.
- Are these Venusa breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 712 of Venusa's pairs are in the list, with the easiest 120 shown. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Venusa be bred in the early game?
- The cheapest pair needs a level 30 catch, so not much before mid-game. From a starter box the chain runs 3 steps, opening with Surfent and Dumud. Anything you already own further along shortens it, which is the part loading your own save changes.
- Can Venusa inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Venusa is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Grizzbolt and Ghangler has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
Route this pair from your own save
Pal Hatchery reads your Level.sav in your browser and tells you which half of the Grizzbolt and Ghangler pair you already own.
It reads genders, levels and passive skills off the save, then routes from there. Nothing is uploaded.
