Why an older Renjishi combo list won't work
Pre-1.0 guides name a recipe. The 1.0 table works on averages: a pair produces Renjishi when the two parents' breed ranks average to its 290. 45 pairs hit that average. A page showing five or six rows is quoting a sample, not the set.
Ours is the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated from the rank formula. The 19,044 figure still in circulation is 138 squared, the pre-1.0 roster of base forms counted as ordered pairs, so it measures something else. One pair shows the difference. Every calculator downstream of palcalc ships Panthalus and Panthalus as breeding true, and the game's own tables prove it cannot, because that pair yields Aegidron.
The shortest breeding path to Renjishi
No chain of starter pals reaches Renjishi inside six generations, so the first one has to be caught at level 78-80.
Renjishi passive skill odds per egg
A clean four-passive pool across both parents gives 10.0% per Renjishi egg, which is about 22 eggs for a 90% shot at all four. Every extra passive skill on either parent lowers it.
| You want | Parent pool | Per egg | Eggs for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 specific passives | 4 | 10.0% | 22 |
| 4 specific passives | 5 | 2.0% | 114 |
| 4 specific passives | 6 | 0.7% | 345 |
| 3 specific passives | 3 | 30.0% | 7 |
| 3 specific passives | 4 | 15.0% | 15 |
| 3 specific passives | 5 | 6.0% | 38 |
| 2 specific passives | 2 | 60.0% | 3 |
| 2 specific passives | 4 | 25.0% | 9 |
One junk passive on a parent can double the eggs you need. The per-egg column is the chance every passive skill you want lands on the egg, with random extras allowed. The roll behind these numbers is worked through in Palworld passive inheritance odds per egg, and the planner ranks the pairs in your own box by them.
Is Renjishi worth breeding, or should you catch one?
Fight the alpha. It is a guaranteed Renjishi at level 78, and it stands in one place instead of making you wait on a level 78-80 spawn. Nothing in a starter box reaches it inside six generations, and the cheapest pair needs a level 60 catch. 45 pairs is a wide enough net that one of them probably matches your box.
Breed it anyway once you own one. A pair is how you roll passive skills; catching is how you get the species.
Where to find Renjishi in the wild
Renjishi has an alpha at level 78, and that is the one fixed Renjishi on the map. The game gives it a wild band of level 78-80 on top of that, though no named region carries a spawn point attributed to it. An alpha is a guaranteed catch rather than a spawn you wait for.
Renjishi work suitability and drops
Renjishi has Kindling 8 and Handiwork 6 in Palworld 1.0, and drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Decayed Ancient Relic when killed or caught. Those levels and the drop rows come from our own export of the game's tables.
What Renjishi is actually for once it hatches
Kindling 8 is the reason to keep one, one off the ceiling of 8. Put it on that job and leave it there. Ranked against the rest on best Kindling pals. It eats 8 food slots a sitting, which is a real cost once a base is full.
Renjishi active skills and partner skill
Renjishi learns 8 active skills as it levels, the last at level 70. Its partner skill is Stage Combat. That learnset is our own export of the game's level table, cooldowns and all.

What Renjishi breeds into as a parent
Paired with other species, Renjishi produces 74 different children, the rarest of them Anubis and Menasting. 72 of those pairings use a partner you can catch in the wild.
Renjishi breeding FAQ
- Can you breed Renjishi in Palworld?
- Yes. 45 pairs produce Renjishi in the Palworld 1.0 breeding table. Both parents have to be opposite genders, in a breeding farm, with cake in the feed box. The cheapest of those pairs is Tetroise Primo and Whalaska Ignis, and the egg then needs an egg incubator to hatch.
- What two Pals make Renjishi in Palworld?
- Tetroise Primo and Whalaska Ignis, opposite genders. Both are catchable in the wild from about level 60, which makes it the cheapest of the 45 pairs that produce Renjishi. Every other pair is listed on this page. Both parents average to its breed rank of 290.
- Can you catch Renjishi in the wild in Palworld 1.0?
- Yes, at level 78-80. Its spawn points do not fall inside any named region on the map. The alpha at level 78 is the reliable one to go for, because it stands in one place. It is active in daylight.
- Are these Renjishi breeding combos updated for Palworld 1.0?
- Yes. Every pair here comes out of the game's real 44,849-pair table, shipped verbatim rather than approximated. All 45 of Renjishi's pairs are in the list. Panthalus and Panthalus is the usual tell of a stale list, and the game's tables rule it out.
- Can Renjishi be bred in the early game?
- No. No chain of starter pals reaches Renjishi inside six generations, so the first one has to be caught at level 78-80. 45 pairs breed more of them, the cheapest Tetroise Primo and Whalaska Ignis, which needs a level 60 catch of its own.
- Can Renjishi inherit all four passive skills from one egg?
- Only if both parents' combined pool is exactly those four. Renjishi is born with no fixed passive, so all four slots are open, and a pair like Tetroise Primo and Whalaska Ignis has to carry nothing else. A clean four-passive pool is 10% per egg, about 22 eggs for a 90% shot.
